On a recent trip to Nashville, I had the opportunity to meet the Henningsens, a family of musicians who are becoming quite known to the world of song writing and singing. In fact, they have written several hits sung by The Band Perry.

Still Leaf
I love it when you discover something that looks like something, but it's not. This is the leaf bug I stumbled upon in my yard the other day. I watched him for quite a while before I went in the house and got my camera, and when I got back, he was in the same exact position. It made me think how rare it is that we really stop and savor those true moments of stillness.

Sit Down and Wait
Yesterday while I was sitting in a "waiting" room, I started thinking about chairs - how they affect the way we feel when we sit in them, how they make us feel when we want to sit down and can't, and what they make us feel like when we see them in a photograph. I am thinking this might be something to explore...
